The focus this week was The Great Gatsby and adding to the resources we have on the theme of "The American Dream."
Below is the link to the essay completed in class on Friday. This is a practice essay for the AP Language essay #3, which is an argument prompt. While Obama's keynote address is the provided text and presents the focus of the essay, you are not so much as discussing what Obama is saying as much as you are using the text to argue for or against (you may also qualify) the truth (veracity) of the American Dream.
