I have heard wonderful things about this class' willingness and desire to learn. To that end, please complete the registration and login process for the following tools we will use in class. Yes, you will need to complete these items on your own time due to the limited access to technology on campus at this time. Complete no later than Wednesday, August 29. Task 1: Create a Remind account in order to receive updates and reminders.
Task 2: Create a CommonLit account in order to complete independent reading assignments.The class registration code is VBDNZK. Note: If you already have an account, you need only add a class to your account and use the above code. HOMEWORK: Complete the first assignment, "The New Colossus" by Emma Lazarus Task 3: Create a Quizlet account and join our class.Step 1: Create an account if you want to be able to easily access lists and record practice attempts. Step 2: Locate and join our class page by searching geri_lear, selecting Classes (top right), selecting AP Language 18-19. Step 3: Study and learn the "Class Terms to Know" list. (File also provided below.)
Task 4: Log into your EKHS account and complete the following:Step 1: Login using the directions you have been given for your username and password this year. (There are directions posted in the computer lab and library.)
Step 2: Create a google doc. Step 3: Share (upper right) with [email protected] Step 4: Name the document PASSWORDS Step 5: Document all of your usernames and passwords for all of the above accounts. (I promise this is for your needs, and I will not use them except to assist you.) Step 6: Write a short letter to me (Ms. Lear) introducing yourself and telling me why you joined AP.

On a Google Slide share, create a mini presentation showing your understanding of the use of ethos, logos, and pathos in advertisements.
